What is Ecstatic Dance?

Its a freeform focused movement practice done around the world in growing conscious communities.

We started in Sarasota as the first Ecstatic Dance on the West coast of Florida in 2013. We’ve since grown and changed.

Our mission:

Who are we? “ We are a diverse multicultural community of all ages, abilities, who gather to celebrate and create a coherent field for dance, expression, embodiment, meditation and shenanigans.”

“We are committed to practicing and cocreating a culture of respect, personal responsibility, gratitude, transparency, acceptance, and unconditional love for self, other on and off the dance floors we are grateful and blessed to dance on and occupy together and into how we dance with life itself.”

TWO WEEKENDS A MONTH JUNE 8th and June 23rd (both sat and sun) Wednesdays go week by week determined by amount signed up on sign in sheet on front page.

WEDNESDAY: 10am meditation 10:30-12pm Dance

SATURDAY: Contact Improv 5-6:30pm 6:30pm Meditation 7-9pm dance

SUNDAY: 10am meditation 10:30-12noon dance Soul

Dances $20 10 dance card $180 expires 8 weeks

• We have volunteer openings if you want to do that. It’s volunteer one dance and get another free. It requires being able to come early to set up, hold space, greet…..please inquire texting 941-928-8866
