Silent Disco Ecstatic New and Full Moon Beach Dances
Join us on South Lido Beach Park every full and new moon for a dj-ed dance with headphones you rent with your reservation.
Ecstatic Dances offered out in nature are so amazing. The elements, the beauty, the space to be with it all and great music dj-ed live to you by Dj Kat. There are 3 channels on the headset to choose 3 styles of music. One has a traditional ED wave with Deep Bass, Tribal, Global beats, dubstep, electronica and house. It’s a soundscape that is mixed live. The second an 80’s or more popular vibe in a similar wave format premixed and a third is a restorative mix with more chill vibe.
The dance is sacred space and ceremonial with an opening circle for intentions, tapping into the qualities of the New and Full Moon. The dance then starts with Dj Kat guiding simple movements or an embodiment practice into the wave of music. It’s silent, no talking….We have a professional photographer who joins on occasion to capture a pic or two….and ask folks to not use their cameras …..to help keep the focus on the dance and the container we create together.
As always it’s a judgement free zone, move as you like, enjoy the elements and energy we create and allow your dance to unfold uniquely each time……We end with a closing circle to harvest and share with others what your dance revealed or your take away to learn from.
